Alterations
Is the fit not quite right? We can perform simple alterations to help customize the fit of the garment.
We offer ready-to-wear clothing alterations. We do not currently offer bridal or suit tailoring services. Formal wear alterations can be performed on a case-by-case basis. Please email betteroffthreadspdx@gmail.com with a picture of your item and description of the work needed, and we will get back to you.
Creative Upcycling
Transform your wardrobe with our creative clothing upcycling services. Whether you have a beloved piece with wear and tear or simply want to refresh your style, our skilled team can redesign, repurpose, and reconstruct your clothing to reflect your unique vision.
Pricing
Process & Policies
Turnaround Time: Typical completion is in two to three weeks, based on my workload. I will give you an estimated finish date when you drop off your items and will text you when they are ready.
Rush Fees: A 30% rush fee applies for items needed within 72 hours. A 50% rush fee applies for items needed within 24 to 72 hours. Items needing parts ordered typically cannot be rushed.
Please wash items before bringing them in for alterations or mending. If you are worried about damaging your item, try to spot clean any dirty areas. For items with moth damage, please clean them, store them in the freezer for 72 hours, or place them in a low oven (at least 120°F) to kill any larvae or eggs.
Payment is due at pickup. I accept cash, check, credit card, Venmo, and Apple Pay.
